An attractive early 19th century edition of the Book of Common Prayer bound in reverse calf and published in the civil parish of Burslem Stoke on Trent in the early 19th century.Tregortha was a major figure in the book trade of the region and provided printing and binding services. He printed about eighty-one books and pamphlets many of a religious nature between 1796 and his death in 1821.Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece.Including 'Psalter; or Psalms of David' the rites and ceremonies of the church the proper lessons and a calendar of the lessons.Bookplate of John Dickinson to the front pastedown and his inscription to the front free endpaper.
