Brazil was a popular writer of 'schoolgirl' novels intended for young girls. He illustrated three more of Brazil's books 'The Jolliest Term on Record' 'A Popular Schoolgirl' and 'The Madcap Of The School'. In the original publisher's decorative cloth binding. Externally smart with some light rubbing to the boards and spine affecting the decorative spine and front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is discoloured. Small crack to the rear joint. Neat repair to the head and tail of the rear joint. Light marks to the boards and spine. A small amount of cockling of the cloth to the rear joint. Front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally generally firmly bound.
