Bound in quarter white cloth over black paper covered boards with lettering in red. Square tight and clean pages with moderate page toning as is common. Front board slightly flared. A touch of edge-wear. Fairly attractive unclipped dust-jacket $2.95 has one or two short closed edge-tears some rubbing to edges and folds. Spine panel toned. Rear panel well soiled. Still bright and complete and presents well. Though not marked in any way this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son David Hoffman the noted documentary filmmaker has signed a statement with information about his father the artist and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. Two very scarce works on rubber tyres one a pamphlet detailing how the quality of Dunlop tyres are maintained and the other a. Believed to have been published in c.1910 and c.1940. No institutional copies are available of either work. In the publisher"s original paper wraps with full-page and in-text illustrations throughout including those in colour with India Tyres. - How Dunlop Quality is Maintained: A Peep At Some of the Testing Applicances and Methods Used to Ensure the Supremacy of Dunlop Tyres. Dunlop was the first manufacturing company to create rubber tyres and still thrive as a business today. c.1910.- The Complete Range of India Tyres. A tyre company that prides themselves for long life flexibility and comfortable riding. Different types of tyre included are car tyres giant tyres earth movers agricultural and industrial.
