A very worn and ragged example of this rare imprint. Ex-library with rectangular ink stamp on the title page and five numbers handwritten on the blank verso. Title page and final page of text are chipped torn soiled. A couple other pages of text with smaller chips. Most but not all pages are discolored from exposure to damp. Three leaves have archival Japanese tissue repairs. Protected in archival mylar. Enclosed in a leather-backed four flap enclosure with gilt-stamped spine. On November 8 1870 Marcus D.
