Over the course of his career he collaborated with composers including  Milton Babbitt John Cage Elliott Carter George Crumb Morton Feldman Philip Glass Peter Mennin Krzysztof Penderecki Roger Sessions Charles Wuorinen and Iannis Xenakis.
