These include the continuous milling machine vertical eight spindle cylinder boring machine crank case boring machine and others which drove the rapid expansion of automobile production in the United States following World War I. Beaman and Smith were a manufacturer of precision machine tools founded in 1886 and would continue successfully operate until closing in 1926.
