It is drawn from conferences and communications presented in the medical clinic of the Facultad de Barcelona under Prof. M. Soriano and in the pediatric service of Dr. Marinez Garcia of the Santa Cruz y San Pablo Hospital. The author has attempted with this material to develop concise clinical concepts for the diagnosis and treatment of difficulties in growth processes and in the sexual development of children. The book proceeds from a general discussion of factors affecting growth through a specific consideration of the several classes of growth abnormality with extensive discussion of the hormonal influences and syndromes attendant thereto. The book is well illustrated and contains a bibliography of 220 references many of them from English and American literature.
