Allport is known as one of the founding figures of personality psychology and along with Harry Murray were faculty in the Psychology Dept. at Harvard. Robert R. Sears was head of the Psychology Dept. at Stanford University Samuel Stouffer a Professor of Sociology at Harvard and Clyde Kluckhorn a Professor of Anthropology at Harvard.
