Includes piece of fabric from original art piece bound into back board. Signed and numbered by Christo and Jeanne-Claude on tipped in page. Shelved --. Christo and Jeanne-Claude were a pair of artists who designed coordinated and funded large-scale environmental art installations. Active since the 1960s Reichstag Wrapped in 1995 was one of their crowning achievements. Christo described the piece their physical wrapping in the Reichstag building in a fabric made of aluminum-coated propylene as autobiographical. He related the wrapping to the reunification of Berlin and the importance of that act to Eastern Europeans.
