Very good. Single issue of this rare socialist almanac published by the Czechoslovak Social-Democrat Party. In its present form it appeared from 1894 to 1931; an earlier version was entitled "KalendáŠdÄlnictva Äesko-slovanského" 1878-1881 and "KalendáŠÄeskoslovanského dÄlnictva v Rakousku" Brno 1891-1894. With full-page plates showing the ministers of the recently established republic as well as its parliament. Aside from a calendar the book contains many socialist-leaning works of prose and poetry by Josef Hora Helena MalÃÅová Gustav OpoÄenský Ivan Olbracht Emil Vachek and many smaller illustrations. Especially valuable however is the eight-page listing of books and brochures published by this worker's publisher which shows a wide range of leftist newspapers journals political literature including translations and belles lettres inspired by the Russian Revolution and other relevant events. Outside the Czech Republic KVK and OCLC only show scattered early issues at Bundesarchiv Austrian National Library IISG Chicago and Urbana Champaign. unknown books
