This includes a rather large portion missing from the top of the spine of volume 2 and a strip missing between the spine and rear panel of volume 1. Volume 1's jacket also has some water staining to the lower edge of the rear panel. Yellowing and dust soil to both. Both jackets are inside protective covers. The boards show some signs of wear mainly to edges light rubbing to surface cloth. Volume 2's spine head is faded where that piece of jacket is missing. Gilt stamping is dulled. Endpapers of both volumes are lightly discolored from contact with jackets. Pages are clean and bright on both volumes. Bindings are sound. 1973psbauhsignedDJLimitedIf you notice the date on the signed page is bonded paper which will hold a signature in place for almost ever and it is date June 1972. These were printed and signed to celebrate her 80th birthday and usually came in a 12 volume set but other books were planned this is one of those. The pages were signed and installedtipped in like the others. The page is real the signature is real but is un numberedcalled out of series I have only seen 3 of these so they were very limited I guess the rest are 100s for sale. <br /><br />The only defects I see is there is a touch of rubbing to the spine ends on the book and DJ otherwise it better than Near Fine Unread unmarked and very square.
