Edition originale de ce catalogue ralis l'occasion de l'exposition qui s'est tenue La Grande Halle de La Villette du 16 novembre 1988 au 22 janvier 1989, et qui runissait des photographies de Robert Doisneau prises pendant plusieurs annes dans l'usine Renault de Boulogne-Billancourt sur l'le Seguin. L'ouvrage est illustr de 45 photographies de l'artiste reproduites hors texte (dont 9 sur double page) et accompagnes de propos de Robert Doisneau recueillis par Andr Maisonneuve. C'est dans l'usine Renault de Boulogne-Billancourt sur lle Seguin que Robert Doisneau fit ses premiers pas de photographe et les images qu'il en a rapportes, constituent un te?moignage historique inestimable de la vie d'une grande entreprise dans les annes 1945-1950, et rvlent dj son grand talent.
