The book takes as a point of departure the cultural fascination with violence atrocity mutation and the ways that they are depicted some would say gentrified as entertainment. The essays examine the ways in which opticality has become so spectacular how this bedazzlement with entertainment is engineered in the larger sphere of cultural production. Published by the Poetry Project at St. Marks Church In-The-Bowery. Poster announces a series of poetry reading and music events. Poster is undated but the postmark on the verso indicates that it was sent out on April 27 1977. Artist for poster not stated. This copy was mailed to poet Jackson Mac Low with his typed address on the verso. This copy has a small circular hole at the top as well as a small tape remnant from mailing.
