The first several pages are devoted to aboriginal and WWl images all the following pages are devoted to baseball and other sports. Lee Reynolds makes use of a hardbound book - " Annual Report of _____ to the Public Service Commission Second District of the State of New York For The Year Ended June30 1915. A straightforward account of the qualities of 21 kinds of fish including flounder eel perch salmon pike trout and others less well known bleak guinead and brief instructions as to how to catch them; the sixpenny pamphlet ends with a three-page discussion of various worms and how to obtain them. Westwood and Satchell list this work similiar to that of Thomas Best's A Concise Treatise on the Art of Angling London 1787 without authorial attribution. The words "but Comprehensive" in the title suggest that this was intended as a sequel to Best a popular work which went into numerous editions. <br /> The words "embellished with a frontispiece" have been effaced from the title page suggesting that for a long time this copy has been lacking the plate as also in the copy retained at Yale. Guernsey Jr.; Rhoda Teagle contirbuted an essay entitled "Silence Solace and Sustenance for the Angler"; the book also includes miscellaneous recollections and a list of members and officers.
