A 16mo of 6 3/4 by 4 1/8 inches with the title block missing from the spine wear to the leather at the edges of the boards spine ends and joints. A prior owner's name is in ink on the first free end page with the date of February 7th 1833 which name is repeated on the last free end page. The rear 30 pages of this copy has a dampness stain to the upper two inches of the pages. 288 pages including 8 pages of Idioms and familiar expressions and proverbs in two columns in English and in French. Illustrated with a frontispiece of the author from an engraving and a view of the A. L. S. & M. Academy Middletown Conn. OCLC reports only 40 libraries and institutions have a copy of this title.
