Ed. orig. ed unica di questa importante opera sull'origine e lo statuto della Casa Matha, antica corporazione ravennate dei pescatori, che fu di fatto la precorritrice di quelle che daranno luogo al noto fenomeno delle artes comunali. Il primo volume si compone di quattro parti: nella prima si dimostra come l'epoca della sua istituzione sia piu' antica di quanto si ritiene; la seconda tratta dei ricchi stabilimenti posseduti dalla corporazione dal 1034 sino al 1778, nella terza compaiono gli statuti e le leggi dell'antico ordine, nella quarta commenti, notizie ed atti desunti da un antico codice in pergamena.
