[Giunti agricoltura] (cm.21,5) Solida legatura originale in piena pergamena realizzata con un folgio manoscritto del XIV-XV secolo, poco leggibile per sbiaditura e difetti agli angoli. dorso rifatto nel XIX sec. in pergamena antica. -cc.20nn., cc.222, cc.125 + 1c. con al verso la marca tipografica. il colophon è a c. 125 recto. Alcune figure nel testo con terreni agricoli, mietitura, schemi ecc. opera classica, copia dell'edizione del 1515 con l'aggiunta dei commentari di Columella e Palladio con le note del Beroaldo. Raccoglie le massime opere antiche di agricoltura, sui lavori dei campi, sulla caccia, pesca, cibi, vino, villa ecc.nel testo alcuni passaggi in greco. L'unico difetto: le sguardie hanno segni di pastello (probabile opera infantile). Raro a reperirsi.

With the nineteenth century trade ticket of Combe of Leicester on front paste-down. 'Stephen Oliver the Younger' (so titled) is the pseudonym of William Andrew Chatto. A minor angling classic, this work contains two sings, 'The Angler's Call' and 'The Angler's Invitation', which were afterwards included in the 'Newcastle Fishers' Garlands'. In the appendix the author gives a well-written review of the older angling literature frequently quoted by Westwood & Stachell. Westwood & Satchell, p.162.
