He worked as a coach for the next 32 years including as coach of Great Britain in the 1980s. This story takes him through times at Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Bramley and Wigan.

Oltre alla squadra internazionale GMA polizia civile, che partecipava al torneo tra basi Nato, nella massima serie si esibiva La Giovinezza e L'Edera, nella divisione successiva L'Asso di Picche e il Piave. Il campo fu progettato con tutti gli accorgimenti tecnologici dell'epoca, ma la sua corretta conservazione fu disattesa dalle nostre amministrazioni, riducendolo in condizioni penose. È tristemente ricordato tra tutte le squadre che hanno avuto la ventura di disputare un incontro nella nostra città. La serie di racconti vuole essere un simpatico ricordo per tutti quelli che sono stati involontariamente attori di epiche imprese.
