First edition of this lavishly illustrated souvenir program for the 1919 Tournament of Roses parade events celebrating the end of World War I. Sadly this was probably the precipitating events which triggered the massive outbreaks of the 1918-1919 flu pandemic through Los Angeles Pasadena and surrounding cities resulting in forcing school closures bans on public gatherings and 1000’s of cases and deaths. In addition there is also featured a land promotion section for the latter half of the brochure touting the notable citizens businesses hotels and stylish homes & gardens in Pasadena and Southern California.
