O Marquez de Pombal Lisboa 1885 es una lujosa edición conmemorativa del centenario de este gran estadista portugués promovida por el Club de Regatas Guanabarense de Río de Janeiro testimonio singular del diálogo cultural luso-brasileño del fin del XIX. Reúne ensayos de figuras mayores Machado de Assis Oliveira Martins Teófilo Braga Sílvio Romero que reinterpretan la política pombalina desde perspectivas literarias históricas y positivistas.
