At the rear of the book are the signatures of several Australians: Paul Hughes sadly now deceased ; Usman Khawaja; Marcus North; Ben Hilfenhaus; Peter Siddle; and Greg Chappell Selector. These signatures were lovingly obtained by one of cricket's legendary autograph hunters who scours the county circuit with his books in his back-pack to watch is beloved county team and in the hope and expectation that he might be able to add a signature or two to his books on the Ashes series. The 2010-2011 Ashes Series is important as it resulted in a resounding 3-1 series victory for England who retained the Ashes previously won in 2009. Furthermore this was the first time that England had won the Ashes in Australia for some 24 years. If this is your sort of thing please let me know as I may well be able to offer other books from noteworthy Ashes series multi-signed in a similar way. SIGNED BY ALL 12 PLAYERS WHO PLAYED FOR ENGLAND IN THE 2005 ASHES 2 OF THE ENGLAND MANAGEMENT TEAM AND PAUL GILLESPIE LEGENDARY AUSTRALIAN FAST BOWLER. Publisher's red boards with gilt spine lettering. A near fine copy in a fine dustwrapper. Signed by: Andrew Flintoff Paul Collingwood Ian Bell Keven Pietersen Graham Jones Simon Jones Ashley Giles Steve Harmison Matthew Hoggard Andrew Strauss Marcus Trescothick and Best wishes Michael Vaughan. Additionally signed by: David Graveney Chief Selector and Matthew Maynard Batting Coach and Paul Gillespie. The signatures were obtained by a legendary cricket autograph hunter who scoured the county and test grounds for many years with his trusty back-pack. The last signature found was that of Andrew Freddie Flintoff in November 2025 when England faced the English Lions in a warm-up match at Lilac Hill in Perth in a precursor to the last Ashes Tour. Flintoff was there as coach of the Lions. A photograph of Flintoff is included. NB: Gordon Haigh Australian cricket journalist covered this tour for The Guardian and the book was published shortly after the final ball was bowled. It won the Wisden Book of the Year for 2005. The previous years winner Ed Smith chose this collection of reports and writing on the 2005 Ashes series for The Guardian. Haighs strength lies in his combination of judiciousness and a sharp witty elegant gift for language. The pages turn even now when we know the story of the summer so well. Likely unique. The 2005 Ashes Series is widely regarded as the greatest ever Ashes series. Further photographs available upon request. hardcover
