This blazer was owned by Graham Roope and was purchased from Boundary Books From Wikipedia The England national cricket team toured Pakistan from November 1977 to January 1978 and played a three-match Test series against the Pakistan national cricket team. The Test series was drawn 00. England were captained by Mike Brearley and Pakistan by Wasim Bari. Geoffrey Boycott captained England in the third test after Brearley returned home with a broken arm. In addition the teams played a three-match Limited Overs International LOI series which England won 21 The England national cricket team toured New Zealand in February and March 1978 and played a three-match Test series against the New Zealand national cricket team. The series was drawn 11 with New Zealand defeating England in a Test match for the first time in their history. unknown

Narrow quarto 290 x 150 mm single-sheet flyers printed on both sides versos with advertisements for Robert Hurst shoes; each example has some marginal loss but nonetheless this a rare and desirable group of survivors. The summer public concerts at the MCG organised by the MCC were a feature of Melbourne entertainment and social life in the early Federation era. These 1902-03 concerts all featured Code's Melbourne Brass Band under the baton of Mr. E. Code as well as moving picture displays. The Melbourne Cricket Club Annual Report for 1901-02 noted that “The Open-air Concerts have been carried out with marked success. Twenty-four Concerts were given the average attendance of members at each Concert being 1641 the attendance of the general public also being of a very satisfactory character. During the season the Committee introduced a new feature - viz. the Edisonia pictures - which proved such a success. As the Concerts have now become an established institution the Committee hope during next season to make them still more attractive.†unknown

A very good copy in sometime supplied non-price-clipped dust wrapper lightly dust soiled in places and with just a little edgewear and one short closed tear. This copy has been signed on the front free endpaper by fifteen members of the 1961 Australian touring team including Richie Benaud Neil Harvey Bill Lawry and Ian Quick; and signed on the half-title by twelve members of the 1961 Championship winning Hampshire side their first ever title.
