As Chris Bready notes "Excessively scarce; no auction records in the last thirty years. Shortly after this publication Pond edited Frank Forester's "Fugitive Sporting Sketches" and "Sporting Scenes and Characters" and moved to N.Y. as field editor of "Turf Field and Farm" before eventually editing the "Sportsmen's Review" and writing a column on rod and gun for the "Herald Tribune." paperback
