Book is in excellent condition in blue cloth with embossed lettering on front cover; very clean, as new. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket shows light edge wear, signs of shelf wear only, scuffing, no tears. 214 pages, many large color plates, route layouts, maps, depicting the 1982 Canadian team's climb.
No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, crease to one lower page corner, very minor bump to top of spine and no bumping to corners. No dust jacket. 254pp. The story of the first expedition to climb the slopes of Everest which started the lengthy process towards eventual success thrity-two years later. Following the death of one member of the party and the retirement through illness of another, the bulk of the work of testing the mountain's defences was left to two men, George Mallory and Guy Bullock.
