Piccola mancanza sulla cuffia superiore della sovraccoperta, ma bell’esemplare. Corposo resoconto della spedizione organizzata da Monzino al Kanjut Sar, segnata da grandi difficoltà organizzative, economiche e diplomatiche, ma che nonostante i problemi e le avverse condizioni atmosferiche vide la guida alpina Camillo Pellissier (Valtournenche 1924 - Dent d’Hérens 1966) salire l’inviolata vetta (7760 metri) il 19 luglio 1959, con un’ascensione in solitaria di oltre mille metri da Campo VI. Il ricco corredo fotografico occupa quasi 200 pagine, seguono le monografie di Meciani, Cerretelli e Marimonti, la bibliografia e le biografie dei partecipanti. Si unisce al volume l’opuscolo LA SPEDIZIONE G. M. ’59 AL KANJUT SAR. Estratto dalla Rivista Mensile del Club Alpino Italiano n. 3-4 - Marzo-Aprile 1959. L’estratto, con copertina in brossura, conta 29 (3) pagine illustrate in nero e si compone di brevi scritti di Guido Monzino, Pietro Meciani, Lorenzo Marimonti, Jean Bich, Marcello Carrel, Camillo Pellissier e Paolo Cerretelli. Sul frontespizio un timbro di Omaggio della Società delle Guide del Cervino, e un invio autografo firmato “Camillotto” (Pellissier). Perret 3081; Angelini 1794.
In 8, pp. 396 con tavv. fot. f. t. Br. ed. con d. rifatto. Prima edizione francese della principale testimonianza della spezione Mallory che nel 1924 tento' la scalata dell'Everest. Norton non raggiunse la vetta ma si fermo' a 8500 metri mentre Mallory con un tentativo successivo perse la vita.
