Half bound in blue morocco leather with five raised bands gold stamping and marbleized paper covered boards. Text in French. One of 100 unsigned copies printed on Arches. Spine is significantly sunned with browning to the edges of the original paper cover now title page which also shows water staining to the lower edge. The previous owner's name Simon Cottrell remains boldly inscribed in graphite on the half title. Handsome marbleized endpapers and no further intentional markings to the interior. A previous bookseller or binder's label is affixed to the rear free endpaper. Eight full page charming erotic drawings by Bonnard illustrate the story and are reproduced handsomely as prints.
