Ten stories by Bulwer-Lytton Miss Mitford Agnes Strickland Mrs. Gore and others. A pretty little book with an unusual binding: a strip of cloth extends about a half-inch under the front and rear boards and goes over the spine board: printed paper labels on spine and front provide the title and decoration while decorative endpapers hold it all together. The front pictorial onlay has a nice drawing in the manner of Edmund Frederick of an idealized young woman. 1913 Christmas gift inscription on verso of front free endpaper.
