The printed dedication reads: "For Donald Justice Barbara Many friends and a few enemies." In his foreword titled "The Anatomy of Saturday Night" Larry Levis calls McAfee an "original poet" and compares his work to that of Weldon Kees "because McAfee's knowledge of terror is as complete as Kees'.
