19440053561944. Soft cover. Fine. Vintage photograph circa 1960-61 of R.A.F. Free French Auxiliary then Free French ace fighter pilot Jacques Andrieux signed with inscription. Photo shows Andrieux standing in front of a Dassault Mirage III-C jet thus dating this photograph at no earlier than October 1960. Photograph is separate from the caption shown both being tipped onto an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. Andrieux flying a Spitfire scored 6 kills all fighters either FW-190s or BF 109s 4 probables and 2 damaged German aircraft between February of 1943 and June of 1944 by which time he had served with three different squadrons while rising in rank. He had fled to Great Britain from Brittany on a fishing boat in 1940 first joining 130 Squadron where he scored his first kill in 1941 and FW-190. . Later with 91 Squadron he scored three more kills then another two to become an ace as a flight commander for 341 Squadron also known as Groupe de Chasse n° 3/2 "Alsace". Title page present noted as SECOND VERSION with credits for screenwriters Roger Andrieux and Gilles Taurand and author Henrik Stangerup. 103 leaves with last page of text numbered 101.
