Allan Dwan directed and Dana Andres Jane Powell and Don Dubbins starred in this Technicolor venture into South Pacific exoticism. Herman Melville's novel is credited as "The Mightiest of Adventures by the Author of Mighty 'Moby Dick!'" The sensationalized promotional text screams: "He dared to love a cannibal princess!"
