4115The document amends an agreement regarding publication of a biography of Blake by Al Rose and Schirmer Books a division of Macmillan. The first change states that "The publisher shall copyright the Work in the names of Al Rose and Eubie Blake." The second change denotes payments of royalties. Blake is the last to sign above his typed name "Eubie Blake." Jazz historian Al Rose signs just above. Schirmer pulbished "Eubie Blake" in November 1979. With long time collaborator Noble Sissle Blake wrote the Broadway musical "Shuffle Along" in 1921 one of the first Broadway musicals to be written and directed by African Americans. Blake's compositions included such hits as "Bandana Days" "Charleston Rag" "Love Will Find A Way" "Memories of You" and "I'm Just Wild About Harry". The musical "Eubie" which featured the collected works of Eubie Blake opened on Broadway in 1978. unknown books
