Internally the book is generally clean and tidy. The end paper has a large tear with loss of about a third of the end paper. The rest of the book is in excellent condition. A good ex-library copy with the library's bookplate on the front paste-down endpaper and the library's identification stamp on the verso of the title-page on page 21. and on the last page of the book the front cover is soiled there is a 1 1/2" crack in the back outer joint starting at the bottom but the hinge is still tight there is a three-inch tear in p. 621 with no text loss a quarter-size piece of the back paste-down endpaper has become loose and can be repasted down and the former owner's signature is on the back of the front free endpaper.
