In his introductions to each story Peter Haining provides information on the story itself and the film made from it along with a black and white photo illustration from 15 of the films. The Ray Bradbury story is The Fog Horn a.k.a. The Beast from 20000 Fathoms for the 1953 Ray Harryhausen film. The Robert Bloch story is The Skull of the Marquis de Sade adapted for the 1965 Peter Cushing / Christopher Lee film The Skull.
