This copy is No. 68 of 180 copies printed. Internally in gatherings of four leaves held in a pictorial dust wrapper and housed in the publisher's green hardback wrap and slipcase. Written in French. A collection of poetry on the topic of Paris written by Francis Carco a French poet and playwright who belonged to the Fantaisiste school. Carco marvelled at the beauty of life in Paris providing inspiration for much of his work. This particular collection contains poems including 'Bonjour Paris!' 'Dimanche' 'Neige' 'Cafard' and many more. Beautifully illustrated with thirty four colourful lithographs by French painter illustrator and French resistance fighter Pierre Eugène Clairin. Collated complete. With an A3 sheet of paper loosely inserted containing a note to Linda from Huber. Internally leaves are held in a pictorial dust wrapper and housed in the publisher's green hardback wrap and slipcase. Externally excellent with light rubbing to the extremities and a little darkening to the spine. Internally disbound in small gatherings as issued. Copy number one printed for Henri Prost with original signed pastel drawings a signed suite of first states two copperplates and bound by Georges Cretté.From the edition limited to 142 copies with this copy number one one of four from the édition de tête on Japon with the additional suite also on Japon with each etching signed in pencil by Legrand.This copy also has a duplicate of one of the plates which is dedicated to Henri Prost in pencil and a further plate is also inscribed to Henri Prost. In addition bound-in at the rear of the volume are 7 letters in the hand of Legrand all to Prost concerning the production of the book. The final inclusion is a full-page leaf of manuscript a critique of the book for the 'Journal des Débats' and dated '10 Janvier 1932' presented by its author 'Bormans': 'Pour mon excellent Ami Prost'.
