Marbled endleaves matching the paper used on the binding. Pictorial frontispiece. Aside from minor soiling this is a superb example of the Book Arts that flourished at the turn of the twentieth century. This edition of Chaucer's work is edited from numerous manuscripts by the Rev. Walter W. Skeat noted scholar and professor of Anglo-Saxon at Cambridge University.
