In a quarter morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally smart. A little rubbing to the boards and spine. A few light marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and clean. Small closed tear to the head of the front wrap the wrap working loose a little. Plates between pages 6 and 11 are detached but present. Chip to the plate facing page 36 not affecting image but affecting the caption a little. A little edge wear to a few plates. Very Good Charpentier et Fasquelle hardcover

Green crocodile-textured cloth with a marbled paper panel to the upper and lower boards and a red panel bearing the title in gilt to the spine. With an illustration preceding the half title which is likely to be the front panel of the dustwrapper bound into the book. French language. A very good copy the binding square and firm the text block foxed. The contents with some spotting particularly to the prelims and the '1907' on the title page changed to '1908' possibly by the author are otherwise clean throughout. Original kartoniert Pantomime in einem Akt für einen Arthur Schopenhauer Lulu und Alequin. Die Premiere fand am 1. Oktober 1888 im Nouveau Cirque in Paris statt die mise en scène besorgte M. Agoust der auch Schopenhauer einen "savant bourlesque" gab. Félicien Champsaur 1858-1934 Journalist und Schriftsteller gehörte zu den produktivsten Schreibern Frankreichs im ausgehenden 19. Jahrhundert.
