The recipient was the wife of Louis Süe the painter architect and interior designer. Süe visited Vienna with Poiret in 1910 and was inspired by the Wiener Werkstätte to create a similar design collective being a co-founder of L'Atelier Français in 1912 later establishing the Compagnie des Arts Français with André Mare.
