Claudel's opinions of the Jews ranged from stale French-Catholic anti-Semitism to pro-Israel admiration and we find all of these shades in this crucial piece published in Le Figaro March 10 1951 and in the Cahiers Paul Claudel no. 7 "La Figure d'Israël" 1968 pp. 350-53. Each sheet measures 27 x 21 cm. Very well preserved. Accompanying this letter is a fine copy of issue no. 7 of the Cahiers Paul Claudel in which it is published. <br/><br/> unknown
