Owner's small signature on each volume's front endpaper. Foxing throughout each volume. Pages dampstained in volume 1. Front hinge completely cracked in volume 3. Back boards of volume 7 and 8 are bent. Pencil notes in volume 1; other volumes' text unmarked. Binding tight except where previously mentioned. A set of the works of 18th-century German dramatist Gotthold Ephraim Lessing 1729-1781. These volumes contain his HAMBURG DRAMATURGY MINNA OF BARNHELM and a selection of his philosophical and theological works including ERNST AND FALK and ANTI-GOEZE among others.
