He was a great enthusiast of fine books and book binding, and an expert amateur hand-tooler and finisher of books. Though he lived in New York City, he "wintered" in Florida, and issued these charming Christmas keepsakes from his home: "The Doldrums" a Mission-Spanish Revival residence designed by Albert Pierce.
