A fragile survivor of a time when skiing was picking up speed in California and the California Ski Association established as a direct result of losing the 1932 Winter Olympic Games to Lake Placid NY was still in its infancy. Though titled with the somewhat generic "Winter Sports Guide" it was largely devoted to skiing and featured several drawn maps of ski trails and ski tows in Northern Central and Southern California a 1941 - 1942 calendar of "where to go what to do" detailing ski competitions tours classes etc. and photographs of skiers ski jumpers and various events.
