The etchings represent men and women dressed in 18th Century French fashions disporting themselves in numerous ways chiefly in transports of what might be termed soft-core dalliance but with enough other motifs to suggest that these images may have been intended as book illustrations. The etchings are unsigned either in the plate or margin adding a touch of mystery to these frolicsome inventions. Probably French, ca. 1925 unknown
