The science was popular with the ancient Greeks falling into disrepute in the centuries after until Johann Kaspar Lavater popularised it again in the late eighteenth century. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally generally smart. Light rubbing and marks to the cloth. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Cloth to the boards is a little cockled. Internally binding is strained in places with many pages detached or working loose.
