Near Fine in Very Good see notes jacket null A real survivor. Book is in near fine condition. PO pencil signature and stamp WWI veteran on title page otherwise clean tight and free of all markings. Acid offseting on the inside front and back covers not spotty just an even tan area toward the inside edges. Boards are fresh and gilt titling is perfectly clear. No splits or rub-trhoughs anywhere on the boards! Incredibly the ninety year-old dustjacket is also present. This is very fragile and will need to be handled by a paper conservationist. The front cover of the dustjacket has a portrait of Edison and has only one closed tear and one chip loose but present neither affecting th primary image at all. The spine has several chips but everything that matters is clear: the title light logo and publisher's name--just one scuff affecting the E in Edison. Back cover is blank and has a couple of small chips and is neatly detached from the rest of the dustjacket along the gutter.

George G. Harrap & Company hardcover
