Title cartouche in lower right segment of chart. d Anville was a noted French cartographer born in 1697 and active since the age of 15. He provided many of the charts for Rollins historical volumes and was emulated by many future cartographers. This excerpt provides an exceptional example of his geographic accuracy and attention to detail. Slight discoloration. Left border is cut short along top. Two vertical creases.
