Crebillon had success with many of his works including Idomenee Atree et Thyeste and Rhadamiste et Zenobie which was considered his finest play and a masterpiece despite a complicated and over-involved plot. But his Xerxes was only performed once and Semiramis was considered an absolute failure in court. In the original full tooled calf binding. Externally smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Loss to the spine labels with the odd mark to the boards. Internally firmly bound.
