Der Autor, Abt des Benediktinerklosters St. Paul, nach dessen Aufhebung Pfarrer in Klagenfurt, und zuletzt Domherr in Leoben, war mit Blumauer, der den Sommer in Kärnten, zu jener Zeit ein Zentrum d. Josephinismus, zu verbringen pflegte, befreundet u. trat als überzeugter Anhänger der zeitgenössischen kirchlichen Reformen u. Schriftsteller im Sinne der josephinischen Aufklärung hervor.

The 'priest all shaven and shorn' becomes 'the ecclesiastical gentleman the summit of whose pericranium was denuded of its natural covering'. Scarce: no copy in the British Library or on COPAC.
