Parenti p.128-9), la facile e com-promettente identificazione dell'eroico re guerriero Nabucco, che combatteva contro la Media, la Fenicia e Rablata, con Napoleone, che aveva lottato contro l'Austria, l'Inghlterra e la Roma di Pio VII, costrinse l'Aut. a pubblicare l'op. anonima e con falso luogo di stampa, per evitare la censura.
