Privately printed for subscribers of the Casanova Society. Illustrated with four color frontispieces. Rendered from the literal and complete version of Dr. J.C. Mardrus; and collated with other sources; by E. Powys Mathers. This being set number 1656 on Bond paper of a limited edition of 2250 copies the first 750 of which were printed in 16 volumes. No previous ownership marks. Book blocks are untrimmed at fore-edge and bottom top edges are gilt. Binding are worn with wear to head and heels of spines and quarter inch gouge to spine on volume IV. A sound internally clean set in cosmetically worn bindings albeit books are sound with strong hinges tight book blocks and clean pages. Good set. Photographs on request.
