Wanting the title; terminal blank present. Two works bound in one. Old vellum with manuscript and gilt labels on spine. Woodcut portrait inset in first text leaf. Text printed in double columns; sporadic modest tanning; small wormtrack and faint tidemark in lower margin of first two gatherings; early ink inscription in upper margin of A2; later inscription on front pastedown; wanting the title as noted otherwise a good copy. An attractive copy of an uncommon edition of this widely reprinted collection of Latin sermons. It was first published in 1495 and the long prefatory noted is dated at the end "Apriles 1495." Some subsequent editions incorporated sermons by others. The funeral sermons are divided between those appropriate for common folk vulgares and for the learned litterales. OCLC/Worldcat locates a single copy of this printing of SERMONES FVNEBRES. at UNC. The Augustine sermons are regarded as suppositious but were widely reprinted. OCLC/Worldcat locates two copies of this edition of that text: Cambridge and Folger. The Cambridge copy is not listed in Adams.
